  One star is too kind for this company. We were referred to Reynold's Heating & Cooling through our home warranty which is through American Home Shield. Had I seen these reviews on Yelp first, I would have demanded a new company.
  
  Although the service technician, Jim, showed up on time, and he was friendly, he was not willing to listen to my concerns about my 9 month old air conditioning that had gone out twice. The first time another company serviced it and put in a pound of R410 refrigerant. 5 weeks after that service, the air went out again.
  
  Jim told me that the unit needed another pound of freon and he was going to charge me $65 for one pound, minus the $10 credit that AHS pays for, plus the $100 service fee, for a total of $155.
  
  I didn't refuse to pay him, but said that this is the second time the unit was supposedly low 1 pound and I couldn't afford to keep paying $100 service calls and I asked why the unit kept needing refrigerant and he said he didn't know.
  
  I asked if I were to pay him to add another pound today, what would happen if in 5 weeks, it leaked out again and stopped working and he said that I would need to call AHS. I asked him if I had just called him without a home warranty what would his answer be to an AC unit that kept needing 1 lb of refrigerant every 5 weeks. He said he would have to call his boss.
  
  At that point, he disconnected his gauges, got in his van and left. He didn't say he was leaving, he didn't even demand the $100 deductible for AHS, he just left.
  
  I called AHS to complain and they didn't really offer an explanation either, and just referred me to someone else. The kicker is that when the next guy came out, he told me that my AC unit wasn't low at all, that it was full and that a full leak test would need to be performed.
  
  I have never had an experience like this where a service technician just left without doing any work. Now that I see how many 1 star ratings this company has, combined with my experience, it is clear that Reynolds Heating & Cooling has no intent on providing service to their customers. If someone from this company reads this review, shame on you. I used to live in Illinois and was a repeat customer with Mertz for over 20 years. Once I find a company that I like, I will stick with them. Not yours. I will never do business with Reynolds Heating & Cooling ever again.

  My release valve was leaking in the basement of my boiler also I decided to bleed one of the radiators by turning the bleed screw on top of it The valve would not shut off so it would constantly drip so I called my home warranty company and they will call out Reynolds heating and cooling. First of all I had to pay $75 for them to come out and keep in mind I paid for the home warranty. Once they came out I told Reynolds worker exactly what happened I told them that I attempted to bleed the radiator in the valve would not close all the way and that's why it would constantly drip and I also told them that the valve on my boiler started leaking about 2 weeks ago. I get a call from them after they came out and TOLD me that it was dtipping the whole time. So he outright telling me that I am a liar I do not appreciate that. He said that it looks like it's been happening for a long time on the radiator because it look rusty. Keep in mind the radiators are probably 50 years old however they did not leak until I attempted to bleed them so they were working also the release valve on the boiler just started dripping maybe two weeks ago. They said that it look like it been tripping for a long time I don't know how no rust or anything else so to get to the point this man straight out called me a liar and I do not appreciate that I told them what happened when he came out he should have in my face as a man said that I'm lying to him or he didnt believe me. He should have said something then but in fact they have lied on me I've lost $75 and do not trust this company do not trust this company because I am NOT a liar I have honor and I do not appreciate someone lying on me like that it started dripping once I told him it started dripping. And to add insult to injury once I called them they said that they would speak to the service guy(actually I wanted to speak to him also) that came out and they would get back with me its been a week now I haven't heard anything beware that's all I have to say thank you
